Whereas my previous blog on the (northern) Exumas highlighted the destination for its nature, wild and (almost) deserted beaches and islands, and beautiful turquoise waters; Eleuthera is more about enjoying the “Island Life”.
As I promised in my previous blog about getting to the Bahamas and checking in, I will share some of my favorite destinations.
Have you been lucky enough to visit the beautiful and diverse islands that make up the Bahamas, by boat?
As if being on a boat isn’t already fun enough!
As the Spring boating and boat show season are upon us, what are some of the questions you should ask yourself when shopping for a boat?
I want to use this blog to illustrate why being flexible about your schedule may help avoid bad decisions about going out in unfavorable weather and travel conditions. While our trip going north in July went like a dream without any boat or weather issues, the same cannot be said for the return trip, from Annapolis, MD, to Palm Beach, FL.
Have you just bought a boat at one of the Fall boat shows and are you thinking about different areas to go cruising? Are you up north and about to winterize your boat for the winter, thinking about next season’s trips?
On the final leg of our trip north, we cruised from Irvington, VA, to Annapolis, MD, our home base for cruising the Chesapeake Bay during the summer.
On Day 6 we cruised from Coinjock, NC, to Irvington, VA, via Portsmouth/Norfolk. This is an interesting stretch cruising “The Ditch".
