On the first day of our trip going north along the U.S. East Coast, we traveled offshore from Palm Beach to Port Canaveral. Port Canaveral is a nice stop, especially if you have time to take a tour of the nearby Kennedy Space Center; or, if you are very lucky, to witness a rocket launch!

Stabilizers and sailing aren’t really used in the same sentence, so when do we see them being used?
Firstly, let’s start with a quick description of what stabilizers are, and how they might work.
Adastra, or “ad astra”, meaning “to the stars”, is a very appropriate name for this superyacht resembling a space ship design. Adastra is a 42.5-meter (140’) trimaran built by McConaghy Boats, and she looks like no other boat on the water!
